AMY HART
Artist/Humanitarian/Creative Media Strategist/Teacher/Storyteller
As an artist and a creative communications professional, my goal is simple: create media that captivates audiences and drives meaningful engagement. As both a practitioner and an Adjunct Professor for the Honors College, I have a deep passion for the academic experience. Whether I'm making art, teaching in the classroom, or creating content for a digital platform, my focus is the same: to explore diverse perspectives and foster interactive engagement. My background as an award-winning international documentary filmmaker and Fulbright Award recipient shapes my approach to digital strategy: no matter the platform, vibrant, impactful storytelling is at the core of everything I do.
Currently, I am the Creative Photographic Director at UNC Charlotte where I have also taught a humanities course at the Honors College. Previously, I was the Director of Public Health Productions, an in-house studio at the New York Academy of Medicine. While at NYAM I was also an adjunct professor at NYU. After making a film on global water issues in Malawi, Africa, I co-founded Freshwater Project International, a non-profit that has provided water services to hundreds of thousands of people in Malawi.
